Tracy Lee Griffith

Tracy Lee Griffith's nomadic life sets up the tone of her work. Growing up in Westchester, New York, then in St. John, US Virgin Islands and later in California and Asia. From the vibrant colors of the sea and nature, Tracy's work comes from a place where she finds joy. The rich colors and textural mark rush through the canvas to allow the viewer to see her view of the world. Each one of her paintings creates a visceral experience to appreciate the beauty around us. The depth of her work comes from her love for natural beauty, her adventures in horse trekking and are intent upon exploring natural scenes and embracing color. Tracy's work frees the unconscious energies and pursues a lyrical and often ecstatic illustration.
Her paintings tell the story of her travels through running ribbons, resin-drip lines, paint, handmade paper, inks, and found objects gathered on her journeys. These paintings are also coated in multiple layers of resin, with each layer capturing another level of “experience”. Her paintings draw on multiple streaks of emotions and light, tracing on a history of encounter and wonderment.
Tracy has exhibited internationally- premiering with her first art show in San Francisco, Gallagher Lane Gallery; Lotte Gallery in Seoul, Korea, Withculture House, Seoul, Korea; Walter Wickiser Gallery, New York City; The Popsy Room Gallery; Hong Kong. She is thrilled by the opportunity at LIGHTS of SOHO and the Rebecca Hossack Gallery in London next.
“I am absorbed in every sense by colour, the feelings and sounds they inspire..” She continues, “It's a great time for new artists to have a better chance to be seen and certainly London is the dream! I’m happy to be exhibiting at a time when such a diversity of art is more interesting to more people than ever before.”

Tracy Lee is a resident of Wimberley, Texas recently from London, UK.
