The Wimberley Valley Art League honored seventy-eight young artists with a reception and art show on Friday, April 13, featuring the work of youngsters ranging in age from five to eighteen years, at the Wimberley Community Center. This event is an annual occurrence every spring as a result of the efforts of the WVAL who contribute their time and talents to coordinate with area schools, frame and hang the art, and furnish refreshments for the reception. Generous donations from both the Wimberley Lions Club and the Wimberley Community Civic Club provide money for the frames.

The area schools participating in this endeavor are Blanco River Academy, Danforth Middle School, Jacob’s Well Elementary, Katherine Ann Porter School, Scudder Primary School, St. Stephen’s Episcopal School and Wimberley High School.
