The Wimberley Valley Art League is eagerly anticipating its next show that will hang in the Gallery at the Community Center at 14068 RR 12. It will be the annual Student Show which features art from our area schools including Scudder Primary, Jacobs Well Elementary, St. Stephen’s, Blanco River Academy, Danforth Junior High, Wimberley High and Katherine Anne Porter School. Please join us at the opening reception on Friday, April 13 from 5 to 7 pm to view outstanding work by our young artists in the community. You will see a diversity of media from acrylic, watercolor, collage, marker and 3-dimensional work. The show is always a delight to view and fun to share the excitement with the artists and their families. We wish to thank the Lion’s Club and the Civic Club for their generous grants that go towards framing the works. The art remains framed and travels home with each artist at the conclusion of the show.
